What type of drive-thru system do I need?

That depends.

Choosing the right drive-thru system is crucial to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service. At Sound Products, we offer three main types of drive-thru systems: single lane, double lane, and tandem drive-thru systems.

Single Lane Drive-Thru System: Ideal for smaller establishments or those with lower traffic, the single lane system features a single order station and pickup window. This simple setup allows for efficient order taking and delivery, making it a cost-effective choice for businesses with moderate drive-thru demands.

Double Lane Drive-Thru System: Designed to handle higher customer volumes, the double lane system boasts two order stations and pickup windows, doubling the throughput capacity. This setup enables parallel order taking and fulfillment, reducing wait times and increasing overall efficiency during peak hours.

Tandem Drive-Thru System: The tandem system is perfect for high-traffic locations and drive-thrus with substantial customer demand. It features two or more separate lanes that merge into a single order station and pickup window, allowing for significant simultaneous order processing. Tandem systems offer maximum throughput, minimizing wait times, and accommodating the busiest drive-thru scenarios.

At Sound Products, we understand that each business has unique needs. Our expert team collaborates closely with you to assess your drive-thru requirements and recommend the most suitable system. The menu board is a large board outside by the speaker post that has your menu on it.

Today's digital menu boards have the speaking and microphone built into the unit. If this is the case the drive thru will not have a speaker post.

How to reboot a base station
the first step in troubleshooting your base station and drive thru system.

Like computers and routers, today's base stations sometimes need to be hard reset. The easiest way to do this is to remove the thumbscrews from the bottom of the base station. Once those are removed, remove the front cover. In there you will see a black power cable on the left-hand side. Unplug that cable for about a minute or so and then plug it back in.

THIS WILL DISRUPT YOUR DRIVE-THRU SYSTEM. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CARS IN YOUR LANE.

If for some reason, it's hard to remove the thumbscrews, you can either use a Phillips head screwdriver or you can also unplug the power cable from the wall or power source.  That should achieve the same effect without having to remove the front panel.

If you are still having issues with your base station, you can always contact our support team at 1-800-263-4996 or email us at support@soundproducts.caour support team would like to help.
